Design that fits how you work.

One senior team for product, web, brand and decks, working in the tools your team already uses. Ongoing on a subscription, or one defined project. Here’s how it runs.

Get in touch

The subscription.

Ongoing design for one flat monthly rate. No timesheets, and no new quote for every request. Some founders call it a retainer.

  1. 01

    Fill your backlog

Add every request you can think of, big or small, across product, web, brand and decks.

  2. 02

    Put it in order

Drag what matters most to the top. Priorities change, so reorder whenever you like.

  3. 03

    We start the top one

It gets our full attention. Progress lands in your Slack as short video walkthroughs, so you can steer early.

  4. 04

    Approve it, it ships

Happy with it? Approve it and we pick up the next one. Want changes? Your notes go back in as a request of their own.

  5. 05

    Something urgent?

Drag it to the top. It’s the next thing we pick up, and the work already in progress carries on.

  6. 06

More pace? Go 2x or 3x

With 2x, the urgent request and the one already in progress move together. Handy around a launch or a raise.

A project, start to finish.

For one defined piece of work, like a brand, a website or a deck. Scoped and costed before anything starts, and it ends with everything handed over.

We agree what we’ll make, what it costs and the plan.

  2. 02Kickoff

A short questionnaire, then a call to go through it together.

  3. 03Routes

A couple of distinct directions. You pick one.

  4. 04Build out

Your route, developed into the full set, with up to three rounds of revisions.

How we work together.

Context comes fast when we’re in the same places as your team. No new tools to learn, just the ones you already use.

Talk

  • Slack

A shared Slack Connect channel instead of long email threads.

  • Google Meet

A kickoff to start, then calls when they help. We can join your standups too.

  • Loom

Video walkthroughs of the work, so you can review it and reply when it suits you.

Plan

  • Linear

Your backlog on a board your team already uses, in priority order.

  • Notion

Or the same board in Notion, each request written up as the problem, an idea and the context.

Design

  • Figma

Designs, prototypes and comments in your Figma, built on your component library.

  • Claude

We prototype with AI too, and we’re happy to pick up an AI-built prototype rather than start over.

Ship

  • Framer

Websites built in Framer, then moved into your account with a video walkthrough.

  • GitHub

Front-end code straight into your repo, if you want it.

  • Handoff

Specs, a video walkthrough and time with your developers.

Rarely
all at once.

The usual path: brand and website as a fixed project, decks around the raise, then product design on the subscription once the product starts to settle.

Timeline / A typical startup
  1. Before launchA prototype becomes a first version customers can use.
  2. LaunchBrand first, then the website on the same story.
  3. RaiseInvestor and demo day decks, then sales decks.
  4. Growing teamProduct, web and decks in one backlog.

Good questions.

The ones founders actually ask us, answered straight.

18 questions

What does the flat monthly rate include? Is it all you can eat?

It covers product, web, brand, decks and more, at one flat monthly rate. You add as many requests as you like in priority order, and we work through them one at a time. When you’re happy with one, we move straight on to the next.

Subscription
Do you work on a project basis or a subscription?

Both. Defined pieces like a brand or a website often run as a costed project, and ongoing work across product, web and brand usually suits the subscription. We’ll talk it through with you and find the setup that fits.

SubscriptionProjects
What if there’s more to do than one request at a time?

Move up to 2x or 3x and we work on two or three requests side by side, still on a flat monthly rate. It’s an easy way to get through a busy stretch, like a launch or a raise.

Subscription
What counts as one request?

One piece of work on your board, like “redesign the pricing page” or “investor deck for the seed round”. Bigger requests get split into steps, so you see results sooner.

Subscription
Something urgent just came up. What happens?

Move it to the top of your backlog and it’s the next thing we pick up. The request already in progress carries on, so nothing is left half done.

Subscription
What about when we have lots on at once, like a site, the product and marketing?

That’s when the subscription comes into its own. Instead of costing each piece separately, everything goes into one backlog and we work through it with you, in the order that matters most.

SubscriptionProjects
Can we start with a project and move to the subscription later?

Yes, and plenty of teams do. A brand or a website often starts as a project, then product work moves onto the subscription once there’s a steady flow of it.

SubscriptionProjects
How many rounds of revisions do we get?

On a project, up to three rounds unless we agree otherwise. On the subscription there’s no cap: each round of notes simply goes back into your backlog as its own request.

Who will we actually be working with?

Jonny and Jake, the people you meet first, are the people doing the work. A small, senior team means quick replies and nothing lost in handovers.

Working togetherMeet the team
Can you work in our tools, like Linear, Notion and Slack?

Yes. Your requests live on a board in your Linear or Notion, conversation happens in a shared Slack Connect channel, and we share progress in short video walkthroughs. We’re happy to join your standups too.

Working together
Can you work directly with our developers?

Yes. We hand over designs with specs and a video walkthrough, spend time with your engineers, check what’s been built against the designs, and can contribute front-end code in your repo if that helps.

Working togetherServices
Do you still work in Figma?

When it’s the right tool, yes. More and more we prototype in code and work with AI tools too, and we’re happy to work whichever way suits your team.

Services
How is this different from hiring a designer in-house?

You get senior people across product, brand, web and decks from day one, without the recruitment, salary or management overhead. And it flexes with you, so you bring us in when there’s work to do.

Working togetherProcess
Our engineers already generate UI with AI. Where do you fit in?

AI is great at producing screens quickly. The hard part is deciding what the product should do, in what order and for whom. We get the flows and structure right, so the UI you generate has something solid to sit on, and we’re happy to work inside an AI-built prototype rather than starting over.

Services
How do pricing and payment work?

Simply. The subscription is one flat monthly rate, billed monthly, whatever’s in your backlog. A project is costed up front for the agreed scope, and we agree how it’s invoiced before we start.

ProcessSubscriptionProjectsGet in touch
Who owns the work?

You do. Once it’s paid for, the final work is yours.

Process
What do you need from us?

One person who can give feedback and approve work, access to your product and any existing files, and quick replies when we have questions. The quicker feedback comes back, the quicker everything moves.

ProcessWorking together
How similar is our project to work you’ve done before?

Very likely close. Brand, website, then product design is a path we’ve taken with lots of startups, across fintech, insurance, legal tech, AI and more. We’ll share the examples closest to what you need.

Not on the list? Ask Jonny and Jake directly.

Early stage, scaling or established?

Let's talk.

Most of our work is with fast-moving startups, but we work with teams of every size. Tell us what you're building and we'll tell you honestly how we'd help.
