The editor and its review flow
Context
Safety documentation is long, formal and has to stand up to review, line by line. The founders of Percept wanted an AI workspace that helps engineers in regulated industries draft and manage it.
Problem
Most AI writing tools are built for speed: a wall of text, and the reader works out what changed. For a safety engineer that is unusable. Every line has to be traceable, it has to be clear who wrote what, and the people they deliver to expect Word.
Approach
The interface is built around the document. Chat and the document’s structure sit on the left, and the page stays in the centre. Ask for a draft and Percept shows its working, step by step, while the document fills in.
Suggestions arrive as tracked changes to accept or reject, one by one or all at once, and a right-hand panel holds comments, documents and the audit log, so anyone can see who changed what.

Outcome
The first workflow designed end to end turns HAZOP meeting notes into a structured draft that can be edited with plain-language prompts and exported to Word or PDF. The front end was built to the design, and the editor is being tested by practising safety consultants.
