Maiven

A product its customers could click through, and the identity and launch video Maiven came out of stealth with.

Maiven shows companies which climate policies affect them, and the risks and opportunities each one brings. We took over from a previous designer to redesign the product, then made the brand and launch video.

Product design2025

Product design.

From inherited draft to clickable prototype

Context

Climate rules change by country and by sector, and a policy that is a risk for one business can be an opportunity for another. Maiven was in stealth, with a first prototype from a previous designer and early customers ready to give feedback.

Problem

The inherited design tried to show everything at once: too much navigation, a weak hierarchy and no clear line from a policy change to what a user should do. It read as almost all risk, and because much of the content is AI-derived, users needed to see the source.

Approach

We ran it as a design subscription with one goal for the first month: a working prototype. After an audit we took the founders through six questions the interface had to answer, from “What policies am I exposed to?” to “What actions do I take?”.

Those questions became the structure. A home page for what is new. A policy page with the summary, impacts, risks beside opportunities, updates and sources. Policy lists split into Suggested, Following and All, so every kind of user has a way in.

Outcome

The clickable prototype went to Maiven’s customers early, and we designed from what came back, including two rounds of onboarding that settled on two plain questions: where do you operate, and where are you supplied from?

Maiven extended the subscription to keep the momentum going, and came back after handover for the final prototype to use in demos.

Identity and launch video

Context

Maiven was coming out of stealth with a public announcement, and needed to look ready for it.

Problem

The identity had to feel like the AI platform behind it and work on light, dark and colour. The launch video had to say a lot in very little time.

Approach

We set the identity up for launch: a logo system for every background, icon-only versions and device mockups for the website. For the video we storyboarded the announcement around the thing Maiven tracks, the policy itself, and argued for keeping it short when the script grew.

The launch video, built from policy chips.

Outcome

Maiven came out of stealth with the video we made, running on its LinkedIn and website, and an identity its team uses across the product and its marketing.
